I am thinking of buying this old,cheap electric guitar in my local guitar shop?
I am thinking of doing it up by adding better pickups and new tone and volume knobs etc. So what pickups would be ideal for general rock? (baring in mind i cant really afford more than £40-£50)
Bear in mind that playability is important. New pickups & knobs won’t help with a bad neck or a compromised body. As far as pickups, try Seymour Duncan or the DiMarzio line. Good luck.
